Street party brings life back to CBD

A group of central Christchurch businesses brought some life into the central city at a street party yesterday.
About 50 people from various businesses gathered for a morning tea near the banks of the Avon.
Brain Injury Association general manager Patsy Bass said the organisation had decided to set up the event after returning to its Cambridge Tce office post-quake.
Bass said the event was an opportunity "to bring a bit of life back into the CBD".
She hoped the party would be "a small step towards normality".
